Barrel Room:
The Barrel Room is the perfect spot to kick-off the evening with a top-shelf bourbon cocktail (I’m partial to Manhattan’s myself) or a fine glass of wine. To celebrate the holiday, there is an exclusive oyster-shucking station from 4 to 6 pm. The staff at the Ritz Carlton Lake Oconee recommends pairing Oysters with two glasses of Rose d’Or Brut Rosé Cremant de Bordeaux, the perfect opportunity to toast to your love. All oysters will be paired with Tart Mignonette, Horseradish Cocktail, and Housemade Saltines. I’ve never had housemade saltines, but I’m sure they’re great. $52 per order of Oysters and Rosé, exclusive of tax and gratuity.
Georgia’s
Georgia’s, which is on the lake-level of the Ritz Carlton is featuring brisket tenderly cooked for 48-hours and Chicken-Fried Lobster Tail paired perfectly with Chef Shaun Thomas’ signature sides that will leave you falling in love. If you have a sweet tooth, and you probably should on Valentine’s day, grab a handmade Sweetheart Shortbread Cookies designed by Pastry Chef Michael Gaddy that is sure to please any romantic. $38 per guest, exclusive of tax and gratuity.
Linger Longer Steakhouse
If you’re keen on enjoying a five-course meal in a more formal steakhouse setting, Linger Longer Steakhouse is the destination for you. Chef Casey Burchfield, will feature a pre-set menu that will feature East Coast Oysters, Tuna Tartare topped with American Caviar, Lobster Bisque and rich, American Wagyu Steak and Lobster Mashed Potatoes. To top off the meal, Pastry Chef Michael Gaddy invites guests to linger for a sweet surprise. $95 per guest for a five-course meal, exclusive of tax and gratuity.
