This month Kim and Lin Logan Real Estate have been fortunate to contribute $2000 to Jami Smith Dorn in her battle with squamous cell carcinoma.
Jami is a 41-year-old single mother of two beautiful girls ages 18 (Rebecca) and 19 (Macee). I also have the most beautiful grand princess named Madison (Boodah) that’s a year old and another grandbaby boy, Colby, on the way.
Jami was diagnosed with Squamous Cell Carcinoma Cancer on her tongue that has now spread to her lymph nodes. On June 30, 2020, she underwent extensive surgery to remove the lymph nodes in her neck, cancer on my tongue and rebuilt the floor of her mouth with skin/tissue from her neck.
Due to the extensive recovery, she is currently home with a 6 month to 1 year recovery period and will be on a feeding tube for an estimated 2 months.
Jami has no insurance and no savings to cover medical expenses I was just fitted for my mask for radiation and will start that in about 2 weeks with 5 days a week trips to Macon for 6 weeks.
Due to the extensive treatment required, Jami’s stress and bills great an all-time high. At Kim and Lin Logan Real Estate, we’re fortunate to be able to assist Jami, but know this is only the beginning.
While Jami has full Faith in my Almighty God that she will come through this, she needs the help of the Lake Country community.
