Construction is going well at the site of the new St. Mary’s Good Samaritan Hospital in the Lake Oconee area. The site of the new hospital is on Hwy 44 at it’s intersection of Carey Station Road.
Work is being done on Hwy 44 and Carey Station Road, with crews widening the roads for the installation of turn lanes.
Many of the area residents are anxiously awaiting the opening of this “state of art” facility. According to Jep Pound, Project Manager with General Contractor Brasfield and Gorrie, the new hospital should be up and running early next year.

All internal walls have been framed and drywall has been hung in all but one section.
