At Kim and Lin Logan Real Estate, giving back to our community has always been at the heart of what we do. Through our charitable foundation, Brittney Cares, we’re able to extend that mission even further—helping local families during times of hardship and reminding them that they’re not alone.
Recently, Brittney Cares donated $4,000 to the family of Christy Boehm, a beloved member of our community who has faced unimaginable challenges over the past several months.
Christy’s Story
Just over six months ago, Christy’s life changed in an instant. What began as a simple joy ride on her motorcycle turned into a devastating accident that left her with three of her four limbs broken. Despite undergoing more than a dozen surgeries in an effort to save her left leg, doctors ultimately had to amputate it.
Since then, Christy has endured additional painful procedures to rebuild her right foot, ankle, and shoulder—many of which have unfortunately failed. Most recently, she learned that both her shoulder and her “good” leg will require further surgeries.
Christy’s son, Robert, shared a heartfelt message about his mom’s incredible strength:
“Life definitely hasn’t been fair to her, but I have no doubt that she will walk again, because giving up isn’t in her. She’s faced so many delays, unbearable pain, and endless frustration trying to get a prosthetic, but she’s still pushing forward. Six months of being immobile and unable to do simple tasks most take for granted—she’s gone through hell, but she’s still fighting.”

Stories like Christy’s are exactly why Brittney Cares exists—to bring hope, encouragement, and tangible support to local families when they need it most. We are so thankful for the opportunity to help Christy and her family as she continues her long road to recovery.
