At Brittney Cares, our mission has always been to support families and communities in their times of need. Recently, we had the opportunity to extend a helping hand to April and Cody Powell, whose home was tragically lost in a fire. While everyone including their beloved dogs was safe, the family was understandably shaken by the experience.
The Powells were spending time with family at their farm when the fire started. Thanks to quick-acting neighbors, their chickens, rabbits, and cats were saved. Even amidst this hardship, the magic of the holiday season was not lost. Santa still visited, ensuring the Powell children experienced the joy of Christmas.
Our Community Steps Up
Brittney Cares was honored to provide support to the Powell family during this difficult time. We are humbled and inspired by the outpouring of love from our local community. The family has expressed their immense gratitude:
"We do not even know where to begin to show our gratitude towards you all for your blessings and support. We are overwhelmed in the best way by your prayers, donations, kind words, and love. Thank you just does not feel like enough."
They continue to be amazed by the generosity and kindness that has come from friends, family, and even strangers. As they work to sort through donations and plan their next steps, the Powell family is deeply touched by the care and encouragement they have received.
