Harbor Club’s Boathouse Restaurant and Marina is located at 3991 Walker Church Road in Greensboro, about a mile south of the Richland Connector. Have you been? If not, take a ride out there. It may seem like it’s a ways off the beaten path, but it’s within a 10-15 min drive of anywhere worth going. It’s also about 2-3 miles from the Ritz-Carlton by boat, on some of the clearest waters of Lake Oconee.
This location was originally Granite Shoals Marina, which was one of the first structures built after Lake Oconee was created in 1979. After changing hands several times over the years, the property was updated and renovated into the vibrant, bustling location that exists today.
An old-timey general store is attached to a rustic restaurant with cuisine that is anything but back-woods. Try the Smoked Salmon or Pulled Pork “Not” Chos (served over Boat House potato chips instead of tortilla chips), or Chef Adam Smith’s signature fish tacos (with a Boat House twist).
Outside, a bocce ball court, putting green, and lakefront lawn are host to kids of all ages enjoying the company of one another, and the live music every Saturday evening.
Visitors and patrons can pull up by car and by boat, as the marina boasts a boat ramp, community dock and marine fuel pumps, as well as rentals for pontoon boats. Jet Skis, paddleboards and kayaks.
As an added bonus, construction on dry storage spaces for your boats (for both residents of Harbor Club and those who live outside the community) will begin in about two weeks and will take about 12 weeks to complete.
This unique space is the perfect spot for lunch or to relax and listen to some live tunes. Drop by. You may just see us there!
