Entire Month of June: Reduce, Reuse, Repurpose Exhibit – Madison

Stop by the James Madison Inn during the month of June to see one person’s “trash” turned into another person’s treasure. A great exhibit showing how you can reuse and repurpose most anything! For more information, visit here.
 

Entire Month of June: MMCC 40th Anniversary Exhibit – Madison

Celebrate Madison-Morgan Cultural Center’s 40th anniversary by coming to the center to view saved memorabilia from the past 40 years. There will be photographs, artifacts and much more that depicts the Cultural Center’s life over the past 40 years. Definitely a “go-to” exhibit for someone who loves Madison’s history! Friday, June 2nd: FREE Movie at The Eatonton Cotton Warehouse – Eatonton

Come out to the Eatonton Cotton Warehouse to watch Rogue One – A Star Wars Story from 7:00PM to 9:00PM. This a free event. The address is 118 N Jefferson Ave.
 

Friday, June 2nd: FREE Concert in Town Park – Madison

Enjoy the warm weather while listening to some live music at Town Park in Madison. The Atlanta Symphony Brass Quartet will be performing live for this FREE concert! Saturday, June 3rd Putnam County Dairy Festival, 10k Road Race and Fun Run – Eatonton

Starting at 8:00AM runners (or walkers) will participate in 10k Road Race and Fun Run around Eatonton. There will be numerous vendor booths set up with all sorts of cool stuff. These booths will open at 9:00AM and the parade begins at 10:00AM in downtown. There will also be a photogenic competition, a chance for someone to be crowned Queen and win $1,000! Tuesday, June 6th: How to Plant for Humming Birds – Madison

This is a great evening class located at Farmview Market for anyone who wants to see more hummingbirds in their garden! Held by Rena Holt, you’ll learn about the different types of plants that attract hummingbirds and other tips and tricks. Thursday, June 8th: Brushes & Brews Paint Class – Greensboro

What better way to spend your Thursday afternoon than sipping on craft beer and learning how to paint? This is a beginners paint class hosted by artist Nan McGarity and includes a tour of the brewery, a pint souvenir glass and all your painting supplies for $50/person. Thursday, June 8th: Savory & Sweet Sampling Soiree – Madison

Sample some delicious food and support a great cause at the same time! Join Mary Kay Andrews, award winning author, as she shares her newest book, The Beach House Cookbook. This event helps support the Madison-Morgan Boys and Girls Club. The event will be at Variety Works (74 W Washington St.) and the cost is $35/ticket for the soiree and $30 for the cookbook. You can also sponsor the Summer Camp for $250/person and this includes a meet and greet, a signed copy of the cookbook and a soiree ticket. Doors open at 6:15p (meet and greet starts at 5:00p). Monday, June 12th: Free Family Concert and Bike Parade – Madison

The kids are out of school, you need to keep them busy somehow and this is the perfect opportunity. Bring your decorated bikes and start lining up for the bike parade at 10:15AM – the parade will start at 10:30AM and awards will be given for the most creative bikes. The route is just one block around Madison-Morgan Cultural Center. Afterwards (11:00AM), enjoy a free concert by the City of Angels Saxophone Quartet. Tuesday, June 13th: Canning Class – Madison

Learn how to can with Morgan County Family and Consumer Extension Agent, Leigh Anne Aaron. This class costs $25/person and will be from 5:30-8:00PM at Farmview Market in Madison and you get to bring home your own canned salsa. For more information visit, here.
 

Friday, June 16th: Pickin’ on the Greene – Greensboro

Pickin’ on the Greene is a fun event for the entire family. Live entertainment and games/activities for the kids will be provided. The live entertainment will be by local band, Pullin Strings and the headliner will be Stewart and Winfield. The event is free and will take place from 7:00PM-10:00PM right in downtown Greensboro! Friday, June 16th: Historic Pews & Pulpits Ramble – Greensboro

If you love old churches, then you need come to this event! You’ll get to visit 7 churches across 4 counties. Visitors will be able to walk the grounds and go inside each church, plus you’ll be able to take photographs, so be sure to bring your camera. Each church will host a 30 minute program (the church history or a hymnal program). Tickets are $45/person. The bus will leave at 9:00AM from the Home Depot parking lot in Greensboro. Saturday, June 24th: Dog Wash at Kim and Lin Logan Real Estate – Greensboro

Bring your doggies to our office on 1041 Village Park Drive, Suite 204 (next to Cafe 44) on Saturday, June 17th to get washed! We will be washing dogs in our parking lot from 9:30AM -1:00PM. There will be homemade dog treats available for purchase/donation. All of the proceeds will go to the Oconee Regional Humane Society. Be sure to bring your fur-babies by, we would love to see them!
 

Monday, June 26th: Make & Take Lavender Wreath – Madison

Another Farmview Market class – these are so cool! This class will be all about learning how to create a lavender wreath, which you can take home with you after class. The lavender will come directly from the instructors (Gail Zorn) farm in Loganville. The cost is $45/person and will be from 5:00pm-7:00pm. For more information visit here.
 

Thursday, June 29th: FREE Movie at Town Park – Madison

Bring some chairs and blankets and relax on the lawn at Town Park while watching Star Trek (2009). Movie starts at 8:45pm and will end around 10:00pm.
