Lake Oconee Area Gets Aalto Business!
An innovative biotechnology firm has decided to move one of its sights from California all the way to Putnam County, Georgia!
Governor Nathan Deal explained how Aalto’s exciting move will “create 80 jobs and invest $9 million into a new manufacturing facility in Eatonton”(1). The move from California to Georgia is expected to be completed by 2016 and the facility will be located on 26-acres in Rock Eagle Technology Park. Putnam County is excited to see this new industry coming to the area!
Aalto Scientific began in 1979 and has been “multi-generation family business, surviving both recession and industry consolidation, Aalto has proven itself to be one of the premier IVD manufacturers suppliers in the world today”(2).
