Oct. 1st: Pumpkin Festival at Crooked Pines Farm | Eatonton, GA
YAY! The first fall themed event! Each year, Crooked Pines Farms holds their annual Pumpkin Festival. The festival begins at 10 a.m. and ends 4 p.m. – live entertainment begins at 12 p.m. Some of the highlights are pie eating contests, bounce houses, festival games, face painting, hayrides, and a pumpkin patch! Food and craft vendors will also be a part of the festival. New this year – their first annual chili cook-off!
The pumpkin patch will continue to stay open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. every weekend in October except the last weekend, Oct. 30th and 31st.

Oct. 3rd : 17th Annual Taste of Eatonton | Eatonton, GA
The Annual Taste of Eatonton will be held Monday, October 3rd from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. 14 different vendors will be attending this year’s event. Some of the different vendors include Da Corrado Ristorante, Cuco’s Mexican Restaurant, Plantation Olive Oil, and Yesterday Café. This is the largest “foodie” event in the Eatonton area, full of yummy samples! You can purchase tickets at Farmers and Merchants Bank (Eatonton & Lake Oconee branches), The Peoples Bank (Eatonton, Lake Oconee, and Lake Sinclair branches), Exchange Bank, and the Eatonton-Putnam Chamber of Commerce.

Oct. 7th: Farm to Table | Greensboro, GA
The Farm to Table event is a charity event where all proceeds go to the Oconee Performing Arts Society’s education programs. Starting on Friday, October 7th at 5:30 p.m. guests will be able to sample wine, beer, spirits, and tasty food from local chefs. While the sampling is happening guests can view all of the items being auctioned off at the live auction. After the sampling comes the best part of the night – the dinner! Lee Epting of Epting Events will be preparing the ‘family style’ dinner. Once you’ve finished or dinner (or maybe in between) you can dance the night away with entertainment from New Orleans native, Bogey Thornton and The Viceroy. This is sure to be a fun event and definitely the “talk of the town”! You won’t want to miss it!

Oct. 8th: Chili Cook Off & Fall Festival | Madison, GA
Madison, Georgia’s 12th Annual Chili Cook Off and Fall Festival will be Saturday, October 8th from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. A portion of the proceeds from the tasting bands will help support the Madison Volunteer Fire Department. Starting at 10:00 a.m. festival goers can check out the Art/Farmers Market, listen to live music and hang out at the park until 12:30 p.m. when the chili tasting begins. Each chili vendor will be set up and tasters can sample the chili then vote on which one they liked best. In addition to the Chili contest there will also be a Homemade Cornbread contest! This is a kid-friendly event with face painting and bounce houses.

Oct. 8th: RoboRide | Madison, GA
The 3rd annual RoboRide is a bike riding event where all proceeds go to Morgan County Robotics team. There are four different bike rides – 10 mile, 31 mile, 62 mile, and 100 mile. Bike all around the Historic District in Madison and then go to the Chili Cook Off for some good chili samples!

Oct. 21st: Moonlight and Motown | Greensboro, GA
The Pete Nance Boys & Girls Club of Greensboro is hosting Moonlight and Motown, a charity event with live music, a raffle, and a silent auction. The event will be held at The Stables at Harbor Club with dinner starting at 6:30 p.m. and dancing starting at 7:30 p.m. Dinner will be catered by the Harbor Club Restaurant. Who doesn’t love a fun night of dinner and dancing? I know we do! The raffle prizes include a YETI tailgating package, a Green Egg package, and a custom made propane gas fire pit. Oct. 24th: Taste-n-Jam | Greensboro, GA
The Greene County Chamber of Commerce is hosting their first ever food sampling event, the Taste-N-Jam. Restaurants from the all over the Greensboro area will be there, including Da Corrado’s and The Yesterday Café. While you’re sampling the tasty food enjoy the sweet sound of the Jake Bartley Band singing live. Jake Bartley is son of Hack Bartley, original member of Swingin’ Medallions, and for the past 7 years has traveled with Swingin’ Medallions as lead vocalist/guitarist. The event starts at 6:00 p.m. and will be held in Lake Oconee Village.

Oct. 28th: Movies on the Courthouse Lawn | Eatonton, GA
Movies on the Courthouse Lawn is the perfect way to spend your Friday evening! Friday, October 28th at 8:30 p.m. Eatonton Main Street is sponsoring Movies on the Courthouse Lawn with Goosebumps (filmed in Madison!) as the featured movie. The movie is free to the public so all you need to bring is something to sit on – refreshments are available to purchase.

Oct. 29th: The Briar Patch Arts Festival | Eatonton, GA
Reserve the last Saturday in October for Eatonton’s Briar Patch Arts Festival! In addition to live entertainment, there will be several different arts and crafts vendors bringing their best pottery, jewelry, soaps and lotions, and a ton of other cool stuff for you to admire and purchase! The festival starts at 9:00 a.m. and will last until 3:00 p.m. There will also be a UGA/FL tailgating party starting at 12:00 p.m. at the Parking Lot Event Stage.
