2025 Fall Events Around Lake Oconee You Don’t Want to Miss

Fall in Georgia’s Lake Country brings cooler temperatures, live music, festivals, and unforgettable community gatherings. From Eatonton to Greensboro and Madison, the calendar is packed with events that showcase the vibrant lifestyle that makes this area so special.

Here’s what’s happening this September - October 2025 around Lake Oconee.

 

September 19, 2025 – Stardust Festival at Harmony Crossing

Location: Harmony Crossing, 112 Harmony Crossing, Eatonton
Time: 5:00 PM – 9:00 PM

The Stardust Festival transforms Harmony Crossing into an evening of music, shopping, and family fun.

Event Highlights:

  • Live Music: Tim Cadiere performs from 6:30–9:00 PM

  • Storytime: Hosted at 6:00 PM by Lake Country Books & Gifts

  • Exclusive Specials: Sparkling deals at Christine’s Jewelers and other local merchants

  • Bourbon Tasting: 6:00–7:00 PM hosted by Oconee Interiors & Oconee Cellars

September 20, 2025 – Rock N’ Roll Cruise In

Location: Downtown Greensboro
Time: 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM

Downtown Greensboro is revving up for a high-energy day of classic cars and live music.

What to Expect:

  • Classic car showcase

  • Live music by John Dunn and the Jazzmen

  • Local shopping and dining

  • Face painting and family-friendly fun

Car enthusiasts can register from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM for $20, with the award ceremony at 1:30 PM.


September 21, 2025 – Broadway Sings for OPAS

Location: Festival Hall, 201 N Main St, Greensboro
Time: 3:00 PM

Broadway talent comes to Lake Country with an unforgettable performance featuring stars from Wicked and beyond.

Performers Include:

October 3, 2025 – Uptown: A Celebration of Soul, Pop & R&B

Location: Lake Oconee Church, Greensboro
Time: 7:30 PM

Enjoy an all-singing, all-dancing tribute to timeless Soul, Pop, and R&B hits. Uptown delivers high-energy entertainment and familiar favorites that will have the audience on their feet.


October 3 – 19, 2025 Annual Downtown Chili Cook-Off & Fall Festival

Location: Madison Town Park
Time: 10:00 AM – 4:00 PM

Madison’s 19th Annual Downtown Chili Cook-Off & Fall Festival brings a full day of flavor, competition, and community fun.

As the CASI Georgia State Championship, this event draws serious chili contenders along with families looking to enjoy:

  • Live entertainment

  • Local vendors

  • Fall festivities

  • Friendly culinary competition

It’s one of the most anticipated fall events in Madison and a great way to enjoy the area’s historic downtown charm.


October 9–12, 2025 – 66th Madison Lions Club Fall Fair

Location: 1131 Fairground Rd, Madison
Time: Tuesday – Thursday, 6:00 – 10:00 PM; Friday, 6:00 – 11:00 PM; Saturday, 1:00 – 11:00 PM

Nothing says fall like the fair! The Madison Lions Club hosts its annual fall fair, where admissions support a great cause while guests enjoy food, fun rides, and festive activities.

Admission:

  • $3 for adults

  • $1 for children

  • Unlimited ride pass: $25

This family-friendly event includes carnival rides, games, and seasonal treats for all ages.


October 24, 2025 – Rhythm & Brews 2025

Location: Sandy Creek Barn, Greensboro
Time: 5:00 PM

In collaboration with Reynolds Lake Oconee, Rhythm & Brews is a fall favorite featuring live music, local pours, and community spirit.

Headline Act: Blues Traveler
Opening Set: Spin Doctors

A perfect mix of music, drinks, and fall fun for friends and neighbors.


October 25, 2025 – Haunted Village

Location: Hard Labor Creek State Park, Rutledge
Time: 1:30 – 4:30 PM (PG-6); 6:30 – 9:30 PM (PG-13)

Come visit the Spooky Haunted Village at Hard Labor Creek State Park for a family-friendly, slightly spooky event. Walk through Camp Daniel Morgan along a trail filled with Halloween-themed scenes.

Event Details:

  • PG tours (ages 6+) from 1:30 – 4:30 PM

  • PG-13 tours from 6:30 – 9:30 PM

  • Tours last ~15 minutes, starting every 5 minutes

  • Wagon rides available for $3 cash (1:30–4:30 PM)

  • Admission: $10 cash at the door, $8 through Eventbrite

  • Parking fee: $5

Bring water and bug repellent. No flashlights or alcohol allowed. Tickets available after September 15.
