It is officially Fall. Lake Oconee remains a premier destination for world class golf and lake living well into the cooler months of the year. And given college Football Saturdays aren’t quite what they normally are with Covid, what better way than to spend more time on the course or kickin’ back and watching the games in your new Lake Oconee home?
Here are the top events in the area for the remainder of October.
Lake Oconee College Football headquarters at Oconee Brewing Company
Head over to downtown Greensboro and step into Oconee Brewing Company’s 3600 square foot event center and catch all of Georgia’s games on a 120 inch projection screen on Saturday, October 10th.
In addition to Georgia (hopefully) pulverizing their opponents for 60 minutes, you’ll be treated to food trucks, outdoor party patio games, and of course, ice hold beer and hard seltzer.

Flavors of Fall
Looking to enjoy the seasoning food and beverages changes of fall? And no, I don’t mean more pumpkin spiced lattes. Head up to Madison to Farmview market to enjoy season fresh produce, handcrafted art from the areas top artists, and live music. This event takes place on October 17th. Georgia Bass Nation State Championship at Lake Sinclair
Are you an avid fisherman? Or, do you want to test your luck against some of the top anglers in the U.S.A.?
Head to Lake Sinclair and join the Georgia Bass Kayak Anglers on October 24th. Registration for the championship begins on Friday, October 23th with check-in being held at Check-In location will be held at the host site Oconee Springs Campground and Marina located at 109 S. Springs Rd, Eatonton, GA 31024.

Halloween Party at Lake Oconee Bistro
Halloween rarely falls on a Saturday so when it does, you may as well take advantage. Head to the Lake Oconee Bistro from 8pm -1:00am for the biggest holiday bash in the area.
