It’s hard to beat breakfast with the family. Should you decide to venture out for breakfast, Lake Oconee has a number of options to please everyone from gluten-free aunt Barb to waffle craving kids.
Sweet Kneads
Offering breakfast, lunch, and brunch Sweet Kneads serves up fresh-baked pastries, hot quiches, and some of the best sandwiches anywhere. Open Monday through Saturday, Sweet Kneads is a lake area favorite and provides gluten-free options and best of all, breakfast all day long. Located at 103 Clack Circle, Suite 1000 in Eatonton, Georgia 31024
Cafe 44
Located right next to our Greensboro office, Cafe 44 is the perfect place to grab a locally brewed coffee, Lighter side sandwich (my personal favorite), omelet, or buttermilk pancakes. In addition to the indoor area, there is outdoor seating on the patio–the perfect place to enjoy your breakfast while looking through the latest Kim and Lin Logan Real Estate listings. Shameless plug aside, Cafe 44 is a great place to grab a bite to eat Monday-Friday from 7am-4pm, or Saturday from 7am-3pm at 1051 Village Park Drive in Greensboro, Ga 30642.
Georgia Butts
Though well known for their lakeside location and barbeque, Georgia Butts is open seven days per week from 8:00am-9:00 pm. Breakfast is ala cart, allowing you to handcraft everything from a pork tenderloin or bacon egg biscuit, breakfast platter or dig into the popular Georgia Butts House Special. Whether by boat or by car, Georgia Butts is a great option. Georgia Butts is located just past the Highway 44 Bridge as you pass into Putnam county at 1137 Lake Oconee Parkway in Eatonton.
Waffle House
Is this a cop-out? Maybe. But sometimes you can’t beat Southern Classic in Waffle house and in particular, pecan waffles. Head towards Greensboro and you’ll find Waffle house at 2250 S Main St in Greensboro.
